In this twisted version, all the Cultists that are still conscious will be here - which can make things very difficult, very fast. Wait until it comes up the path and looks towards a wall to Displace past it (try not to touch the trail it leaves behind) and move forward into the Void version of the Library. Since there’s no going back the way you came, head down the slightly familiar path that passes the Cultists you saw in the other realm, as well as the patrolling Envisioned.
It’s the body of Malchiodi, and he holds his last note and key to his workspace - which may hold the key to freeing the Outsider from his physical prison. If the Envisioned hasn’t spotted you - or you’ve avoided detection, note the body to the left of the plateau. If you are spotted - be wary, their attacks can often kill you in a single hit, and it takes either a lot of charged Void Strikes or a single lethal grenade to stagger them to ground - setting you up to finish them off. Remember the crawlspace that got you to the eye still exists here, and you can use it to evade the Envisioned. With this in mind, you must be careful: If you knocked out the two Cultists outside the Eye of Dead God, expect an Envisioned to come marching up the path looking for you. This means bodies you’ve left behind are also bodies in this realm too, and the inhabitants of the Void - the Envisioned - can spot then and become aware of your presence. There’s even a path past the Cultists eating by the generator, as there’s a crawlspace going under a small stairs straight to the Library’s back areaīefore you do anything else, be warned - this word exists in both realms - meaning everyone who was in the realm you left behind is also in this Void, dead or alive. You can also Displace along the pipes to the open window above the rail lines - but it’s tricky given the number of Cultists on lookout. The easiest way to get through here is to use Semblance on a Cultist you’ve knocked out, then stroll on down through rail lines to the bottom of Library, or into the side door leading to the middle platforms. This area can be tricky to get through - as you need to make it down the rails into the area marked with the #2 sign, and several cultists are up on a platform eating while more are down below digging. He speaks of their long history - sacrificing the boy who would become the Outsider to give a face to the Void, and their everlasting charge of keeping his body at the Ritual Hold within the Void. Return to the higher platform area and look out the window to find one Cultist addressing several others who have gathered in this area.

Head back out and look for the door marked Forbidden Entry and peek through to see it is the late Malchiodi’s room, and the answers to the Outsider may lie in that room.
